Daniel Tzvi Layish grew up in Great Neck, New York. His parents are both from Israel and he has traveled to Israel over twenty times. He graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1990 and then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He then did a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Duke University. Since 1997 he has lived in Orlando where he is Vice-President of the Central Florida Pulmonary Group. He has served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando and continues to chair its Maimonides Chapter for Jewish Physicians. He also continues to serve on the Orlando Board of JNF and Chairs the local Doctors for Israel Chapter.
